The Article"Hostess shutdown on hold", Twinkies are given a little more time to survive than the expected date of there liquidation.
wroted in the article "The Bakery Workers union, which represents 5,000 of the 18,500 employees at the maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread, went on strike on Nov. 9. The company had imposed paycuts and othe concessions opposed by the union's membership." Hostess is losing money and so they had to do paycuts, but "The Bakery Workers Union", are fighting back against it and so as a result, Hostess may be shut down. Hostess is losing money and so as many as 18,000 jobs may be lost. Quote by someone from Hostess "I guess there's always a chance," he told reporters. "We'll take all the help we can get. [But] it doesn't change our financial situation."Hostess is in alot of trouble right now and so they will be willing to take as much help as possible but it is too late nothing can be done to save them.
Th point of this article was to inform us about the inpending closing of hostess and their twinkie brand. I myself love twinkies and many other things rely on it. Its popularity exceeds alot and is shown throughout movies which I love.Hostess, a brand known almost world wide, is a magnficant brand that I would they not be sold off.

Current Event Article #4 Caffeine sustaining life

The author was being Argumentative in this article. The author argues that we cannot live on caffeine and why. As stated in the article "When you get down to it, why can't humans live on caffeine" The Author is asking a question which will start the argument. Another piece of evidence "We don't the gear to digest deriatives further" she explains her reason why we can't live off of it unlike other animals. A third piece of evidence "But cows, rabbits, and other grass munching creatures are able to extract calories" She Tells of other animals that they can do it by than tell why they can unlike how we cannot digest certains things like cellulose. I can actively learn about this by researching more into caffeine and what is required to digest this substance.Caffeine can't be used to sustain our life, but it can for others who have the ability to work with it.

Current Event Article #3 Canadian Built Flying Saucer

In this article, the Author's purpose was expository. The author wanted to tell us about the saucer and the newly release documents. As stated int he article "The disk-shaped craft -- which comes complete with an ejector seat and was powered by a ram jet" The author is telling us details about this saucer and tells us specifics about it. Also stated in the article "It reveals that the air force had contracted the construction of the craft to a canadian company avro aircraft imited in Ontario" The author tells us the the Saucer would be built by a canadian conpany in Ontario, Canada. A third evidence from the quote "After all, the airfoce dubbed it project 1794 -- aranged those numbers and you'll get 1947, the year of the roswell incident." The Author tells us about this and gives a hypothesis that the author made up. I Myself don't believe in aliens and so this tells me people who think they have spotted aliens may have actually just spotted the government. The events in new mexico that said aliens exist was during a time like this, where the goverment did alot that nobody knew about. So Aliens may have been the government. The world has encountered aliens supposedly but no proof had been made. This author goes out to tell us about this and even uses the files to go and make a hypothesis about the roswell incident.

Book Review

Michael Scott's The Alchemyst, Is a book with thrilling details and a amazing story.

This book shows in amazing details the scenery and location. It begins with Sophie and Josh Newmen who are twins and they are working. Sophie works at a tea shop but she doesn't like tea but likes the smell of it. Josh works at a bookstore across the street owned by Mr. and Mrs. Flamel. From Los Angeles to the shadow realm to using a leygate which are ways of getting from one area to another quickly and are all over earth. They used a leygate to get to paris.

The characters in the book all have their own amazing story. Starting with Nicholas Flamel, he was born long ago and was a alchemyst who met perenelle his wife. He's doing this for good but he has his flaws. Like how how he never told Sophie and josh about the previous twins. They aren't that fird. They've been living for hundreds of years bt drinking a potion that the codex tell them. They must constantly make a youth drink to stay alive every so often. Josh and Sophie are twins. Sophie seems to be more calm than Josh. Josh wants to be like his dad, a Palentologist. He loves history. Perenelle is Nicholas's wife. Dr.Dee is the main protagonist. He is evil and also lives forever. His smell is of Rotten Eggs which josh notices early in the book.

This book Seem to me partially like the Hunger games. Almost no one can help them and they must try to survive. Dr.Dee is trying to get the Codex but gets a page that contains the drink that makes them young. So he has what they need. So Dee is in control kinda like in the hunger games with their president who controls everything.

I Would reccomend this book to anyone who likes reading books that involves a chase and a urge to overcome evil and survive.

Current Event Article #2

http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/dealership-camaro-thrashing-story-buys-back-car-satisfied-221510197.html

This article was written to show how a trusted Dealer can do wrong. A Camaro going to get fixed was purposely abused so they can charge more. The story had this "South Carolina resident William Clark's standoff with a dealership he accused of abusing his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS while in for service has ended in a settlement" The dealership abused his property and tried to charge him for it.

The guy working at that place had no right to do that. Even though he stated "Clark drove the Camaro just as hard once it was in his possession", that doesn't give him the right to do that to his car. He can't drive the car hard since the owner drives it that way, it's not right. Especially when charging extra for doing that.

A good thing did come out of this article though, the Dealership offered to buy back the car at a rate higher than usualy."the dealership bought the Camaro back at more than Blue Book value", a good end. The dealer did the wrong thing and so had to pay up for it and so he did what he had to do. Buy the car back but at a higher price.

Current Event Article #1

In a article about a panda cub dieing at the Smithsonian, the writer tells us about panda cub.

The panda cub dieing is saddening and reminds me of my dog who died. Having a friend so close to me and than in one day it is gone takes a emotional toll and for this panda cub to die, the mom must feel horrible. In the article, it states that the mother's distress calls alerted the zookeepers about the panda cub and they tried to revive it but alas, they could not.

This article also reminds me of one of the books in the Lightning Thief Series when percy and annabeth are on a area and percy sacrifices himself to destroy the army while annabeth left. They thought Percy had died and the camp felt sorrow because of percy's assumed death. Death is saddening to everyone even animals.

Remembering 9/11

The designers and builders of the new 1 World Trade Center have built the tower with more ingenuity in the design to show America is not hurting anymore from the attacks, but is instead becoming better. The Tower stands 1776ft in the air, not only being the tallest building in the United States but also representing the year of birth for the United States of America. At 1776ft tall, the tower is a marvel across new york and symbolizes Americas readiness to push though and start rebuilding itself to its vast glory.

My Reading bucket list

  1. Lock Down Solitary Death Sentence Fugitive - by Alexander Gordon Smith: This book was recommended to me by a friend who has read a lot of books and so I would like to read it mainly because the title intrigues me. I love books about having to fend against others for your safety with an imminent threat about and adventure and this book seems to fit that so hopefully the book wont fail me.
  2. The Way of Shadows - by Brent Weeks: This book was recommended to me by another friend whose been reading the series for some time and I absolutely love series. Also the book shows the main character as mysterious and deadly which are two combinations that I love to see when reading a book like this. This book contains all my wants into a series which I will definitely have to read.
  3. The Alchemyst - Michael Scott :I've knew about this book for some time but have yet to read it. It intrigues me because it involves main big figures from the past that find fascinating. All with a story around it and it all intertwines into this amazing story which shows vast detail and so I definitely would want to read something like that.
  4. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter - Seth Graham-smith: Due to Mrs.Gilmore's small story about how amazing the book was, I thought that it is probably worth reading. Especially when it involves our Sixtenth president Abraham Lincoln but even better is that he is a Vampire Hunter. It brings us back to a older time but with vampires with who Abraham has to kill. This sounds incredible and a book that is probably worth while to read.
  5. Shadows Edge - Brenth Weeks :The second book to a series that begin with the way of shadows. Why only read just the beginning when I can read even more. My friend says that the book is extremely good and pretty graphic, just the way I like it. And if the first book is that good, than the second should be just as good and hopefully, I am correct.
  6. The Book Thief - Markus Zusak :I don't really know this book very well but due to the recent talk about it, it must be good somehow. I learn not to ever judge a book by its cover because if I did that, I would have never read the lightning Thief which is my absolute favorite. So this book could very well as entertaining as other books I've read.
  7. Divergent - by Veronic Roth : When looking about books, we came across this book about a place that pretty much controls part of your life by choosing who you are going to marry. It interests me because I know something is going to happen and the main character is going to stop this and I like to see how plans unfold in books that shows the people overthrowing the government to create better lives like this book probably will do.
  8. Maze Runner - James Dasher : I did read part of this book but only a dent into the book. In the short time that I've read the book it shows about a place separate from other places where teenagers and kids are there to defend for themselves. Survival stories like this makes it amazing to me to see how they survive against the odds which is why I want to read this book.
  9. The Hobbit - J. R.R Tolkien : I myself am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings. I absolutely love it and The Hobbit is my way of keeping to the story that I like. Since others are really interested in reading the book, it must be spectacular and so I must read because I am always looking for new books to read.
  10. The Associate - John Grisham : This book was recommended to me by my friend who also reads similar books to what I read and it seems like it would be amazing. I don't know a whole lot about this book but reading into something unknown makes me wonder whats going to happen and so I want to read this book.

Titanic

If I was on the titanic I would definitely not forgive the captain for his actions during the sinking of the ship. He failed to warn us of the immediate danger from the iceberg, also allowing the launch of the lifeboats not even at full capacity. Due to his mistakes, we could not prepare for what was happening at that moment. The lifeboats were capable of holding 65 people but not even half that amount was on when they were released. The captain in a time when we need him most to coordinate us did instead horrible decisions that caused many of us to suffer our deaths and so blame was placed on him.

Pity

I think karl deserves some pity for what he has done and what he is feeling. His feeling towards what he did are destroying him and he also said "Believe me, I would be ready to suffer worse and longer pains if bythat means I could bring back the dead, at Dnepropetrovsk."He has done many bad deeds;killing men, women, and children, throwing a grenade into a house full of people, shooting at a family. He is trying to find some peace now but confessing it all and using all the time he has left attempting to correct himself even though he knows what he has done is inforgivable.

Forgiveness

A scientist that develops a biological weapon that could kill thousands is not a absolute killer and can be forgiven. As shown in the past when the first atom bombs were dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki, the bombs inflicted over one hundred thousand casulties but saved over one million lives. When the United States had the choice of dropping the bomb over japan or invading the home island, the fact that a estimate over one million lives would be lost in the invasion. So the United States chose the bomb and it was the correct choice, it ended the war at must lower estimate than what would have happened if they invaded the japanese homeland. Even though a biological weapon would be very destructive and kill thousands and more, the potential of it to save more and even stop wars before they begin can keep so much pain and misery from happening. This is why developing a weapon of mass destruction isn't all that bad, so he should be forgiven for all the lives that he can save.
